How do you prepare my treatment plan?

When you send us back your completed impressions, our dental lab will analyse and use specialised software to create digital models of you teeth. We then email you 3D animations showing the proposed teeth movement and a treatment plan for your approval, before we begin production.

How long does home Aligner treatment take?

The average treatment plan for most cases is approximately 6 months. Our “"alignment accelerator” may significantly reduce this time..

What are clear Aligners made of?

We use clear BPA free, multi layered dual cell technology plastics to make our aligners. This is leading edge.

What happens after my Aligner treatment is complete?

At the end of your clear aligner treatment, your custom-fit retainers keep your teeth from shifting back to their original positions. We recommend wearing your retainers at night for at least the first 6 months after treatment. Then you generally only have to wear them 2-3 nights a week for the following 6 months. One set of retainers are included with each kit. More can be ordered at any time.

Are clear Aligners suitable for everyone?

Home clear aligners are only designed to treat mild to moderate cases of spacing, crowding and minor bite issues. They are not effective for severe cases of misalignment.

How will i know if my teeth are suitable for Aligner treatment?

Once you have ordered your impression kit, send the completed impressions back to us together with photos requested in the instructions. We will let you know within 5 days if your alignment issues can be corrected with our plan.

How often do a wear my Aligners?

For fastest results you will need to wear your aligners for at least 22 hours per day, removing them only to eat and drink. Typically you change to the next set every 2 weeks. If you choose to wear them less, the progress will just take longer.

Does it hurt to wear clear Aligners?

Some customers do feel tightness or discomfort during the first 1-2 days wearing a new set of aligners, after which the discomfort subsides. Our “"alignment accelerator” reduces discomfort.

Are Smilebar Aligners the same as Invisalign?
